Register On-line   Currently, three General Farm Organizations (GFOs) are accredited. Farm businesses may direct their fee to the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario (CFFO), the National Farmers Union - Ontario (NFU-O) or the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA).

The CFFO is a general farm organization for family farmers "promoting family enterprise, resource stewardship, family values and rural community economic development. It focuses on sustainable family farm businesses and quality farm family life."

The OFA is "a non-partisan and non-profit general farm organization that includes 49 county and district federations, nearly 30 marketing and commodity organizations, as well as educational and farmer interest groups."

The NFU-O "promotes policies that will revitalize agriculture in Ontario by strengthening family farms. On local, national and international levels, NFU-O advocates alternative structures and government policies that resist corporate control of food. With farmers and consumers, NFU-O works to encourage vibrant rural communities, environmentally sustainable practices, and the production of safe, wholesome food."

Additional information about these GFOs can be obtained by contacting the organizations directly. (See "Who Can I Contact?")
